Default Kumho 712 owners: your psi?

For all Kumho Ecsta 712 owners...what PSI are you running front and back for regular street driving? Right now I'm at 35 PSI all around on size 205/50-15.

Kinda off the subject, but do your tires squeal during hard cornering?

At hot temp, 43-48 at the track.

Which would equate to about 38-42 cold temp.

I run them at 30 psi on the street. I like them, but I don't think that they grip VERY well. Went taking a turn fast, I can feel the back end start to get squirmy. I can only must 2.24 60' times with them as well (even though they were only 3 hrs old at the time) at about 24 psi. -C

35psi all around for daily driving. For autox I use 44/38 f/r. MUCH better grip at those pressures. But for the street, 35 is a lot more comfortable.

I noticed some of you are running lower than stock PSI. Is this strictly for comfort/mileage/tire wear or do they grip better at lower PSI?

Tires grip better a lower psi. For instance, the ideal drap pressure is around 20 psi +/- for most tegs with the usual mods. That psi will give you better 60'. hth, -C

Yeah, I know they grip better at lower PSI while drag racing...but I'm talkin' about regular street driving. If you race on the streets, I understand your need for that PSI...hehe.

So far, these tires suck compared to my old ones. The front tires feel a lot looser. Perhaps I need to put more miles on them?

My old tires were Dunlop SP Sport 4000 all-seasons.

just get new tires. don't be cheap.
(ha ha! we have our own private joke now...)

but seriously, i like 32. maybe for a long trip i might pump them up a little so i could theoretically get better gas milage.
