i got the vis cf hood on my 95 hatch. it fit good if you have stock motor but you either do some cutting at the radiator braket or you can remove it. "i would to this way cause there is nothing holding the radiator! if you have a swap in your car. you have to do some more cutting cause the hood will hit the valve cover where the timing belt is. other cf hood maker i don't know. but the vis hood fit perfect on my hatch.

FiberImages

Don't buy carbon fiber hoods that have clothing brand names.

my fiber images hood does not fit well enough to justify the price, light though.

94 coupe, it is the same hood that you have... i needed to drill out hinges alittle to bolt it up, then i had to use washers to space the fenders up anout 5mm to elimate the gap, the hood was sitting too high... so basically you are saying that your hood just bolted right up w/ no modification and fits properly like oem? any gaps?

Most cf hoods are iffy from batch to batch. Some fit well and some just don't.

i agree but that is also really retarded. a mold is a mold, i dont understand how they come out different.

edit: i saw a vis hood on an eg that was complete trash, like 1cm gaps everywhere, it looked horrible, but all i hear on the forum is that vis has excelent fit and finish.

Here is a real old picture of my car but you still get an idea of how the hood lines up. The headlights are not straight, the hood is.... Thats why it may look a little off.

Tried to get a close up of where it says FiberImages but didn't come out that good. I love how it says that on the hood.

Hey Sleeper012 .. why don't you show a little respect to the guy. It's only one man's opinion, he thinks the hood is good ... oh well, he's only trying to help. We all know better then to spend hard earned cash on a generic 'noname' brand c.f. with poor craftsmenship ... for those who don't know, we can educate them. If you want to state your two cents on his comment, I'm sure you could find a nicer way of stating your opinion.

Let's try to keep the offensive comments down and increase the constructive criticism to help out our fellow HT members

i have heard good things as far as quality with VIS, but i have also heard they are heavy as **** compared to others. FiberImages sounds like the way to go.
