Default i'm gettin tired of this....

ok, for about the past month i've been goin over my car checking the wiring and all for good connections....after drivin and gettin the car warmed up (93 civic dx w/ 95 obdI GSR engine), its bogs like hell after 4k....the only CEL i get is after i've driven the car a long time and its a code 23 (knock sensor), and i only get the CEL if its really hot outside...i read in a post on here somewhere that was archived about a knock sensor being "heat soaked" and made the car bog down really bad...anybody ever heard of this? or any suggestions? i've already changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, used injector cleaner....anything would help, thanks.

with code 23, the car will never run right. just fix that and you will be alright.

the wiring is good for the sensor, so how much is a new sensor?

did you check that if the wire on the plug is on the same side of the sensor? i got code 23 at my first swap because of that.

its easier to take the sensor out and check it with the plug. good luck, if thats it, then just take the wire out of the plug and put it into another space.

If it's the knock sensor, and you don't mind not having it, you can use a chipped P28 computer....

i've thought about that, but doesn't a chipped P28 not look for the o2 sensor either? i have an a/f guage and i'd like to retain that...that may be a dumbass ?, but ya gotta learn somewhere...

The p28 does see the O2 sensor, I have had one go bad before and it threw a CEL.
