I have a Civic 2000 EX and i want to remove my factory box filter only, and install a aftermarket filter(cone) on to the factory tube. I do not want to remove my whole factory intake and install the aftermarket intake, b/c my car has 3wires connected to the intake and the aftermarket intake only has 2 holes for me to plug back in, so i do not want to mess with that, when i ask the people that sells the intake they were stumped too. So i just want to install the filter instead.

I have went to some car shops and they said i needed another tubing to be able to connect the aftermarket filter(cone) to the factory tube.

**My question is, is that true? What is the other tubing they are talking about? And is it even possible to install a aem, k&n, or hks filter(cone) itself, to the factory tube they have there for you? How would i do so?
