New dyno results...Not so good...
OK I went to the dyno today. 418WHP Vette, 320WHP RX7, 220WHP turbo Miata(Greddy15G), 200WHP 3rd gen Prelude(total sleeper), and then there was me. 111.0 WHP & 95.2FTlbs
. Its better then when I went in Feb 02,109.1HP&95.7FTbs, but I'm not happy w/ it. An ideal A/F for a N/A Honda at WOT is 13.2-13.8, this thing is dipping into the 12's. Shes aperently smoking black, which isn't SO bad but I hate the smell of anything burning. With 144,XXX on the ticker I think its time for a pre-boost build. Here's the chart...

I think it may be time for a new engine. Unless you're set on having a D series to boost, you might end up spending a little more money but starting with a better platform if you pick up a nice B-series engine, as opposed to building up the one you have.
Both are good routes though.

OK. I won't be swaping so I'd like no more B-series talk in this thread. Thanks!

not to be mean but i have seen some d16a6's with less mods putting out as much or a lil more then that..
what car do you have this swap in? what are you running in the 1/4?
black smoke, try leaning it out some. You could be loosing the power from running rich.

yeah, thats not very good for an n/a dseries.
should be great for your turbo tho
i'd say just make sure your engines healthy then get turbod.. and you'll be sittin pretty. all that bseries talk is hogwash, you can build a much faster dseries turbo than any bseries(well yeah, a bseries turbo would be great.. but that ***** gnarly expensivo)
but yeah you shouldnt be smoking,
it couldnt hurt to rebuild that motor, and throw in some "for turbo" parts while your at it.

It would cost me more to buy a B18C, ecu, axles, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda, swap it, and build it up to hit my goal. It's not worth it.

I know the number aren't very impressive, thats why I said "Not so good" . The motor wasn't swaped it came in the car from the factory. I haven't run the 1/4, only 1/8th. It's in my sig. It would be a mid-low 15 in the 1/4.

Could that 6 degree advance be causing him a loss?

3inch exhaust on your engine is probably costing you a shitload of low-end torque. I hope the only reason you have that is because your gonna go turbo. Also i'd set the cam timing back and see how it does then.
