abs brake problem on a 91 accord ex...can anyone help?
what's up fellas...i got a 91 accord se(ex) and got a major problem with my abs system on it..alright check it....the module on the antilock system is broke. for some strange reason the thing is transfering my brake fluid from the brake master cylinder over the abs system brake fluid resevoir. freakin pretty cool so far huh..not..one major problem is that when the fluid transfers over i start to loose my brakes therfore i have to use an old turkey baister(yah that's right) and switch it back over. well i have a proposed idea that is to try and use a 91 lx accord proportioning valve in place of the bad maodule. does anyone out there have any other ideas, or something...maybe you all had the same problem if not similar? or does anyone know of anyaftermarket product that was made that can help me out...come on now guys i know someone has to have had the same luck as i? hit me up with ur ideas!
Unless someone did something really goofy to your car, it is not even possible The Regular brakes and the ABS are independent from each other, even if there was no abs modulator hooked up he regular brakes would work fine. Unless some moron switched some hoses around somehow to mess up you car then you have a leak somewhere in the main system. I.E. the master cylinder, the hoses or one of the brake calipers. I had one guy come in that let his brake pads run all the way out until the piston wa so far extended from the caliper that it would lose all the fluid in a trip across town, not saying you did that its just funny so I like to tell people about it when ever I can. hehe
