Default taking out my A/C

I have a 98 Acura Integra ls. will taking out my A/C add any hp. if it might how hard is it to take it out.

sorta. the a/c uses about 5hp. taking the a/c out will give you that 5 hp back. your not adding, you just got back what u lost. u save weight too by taking the a/c system out. shouldnt be too hard to take out. but if i can remember, letting the a/c **** out into the atmosphere is illegal. oh wells just dont let anybody see you doing it . other than that its pretty simple.

Taking the ac out is usually done for weight reduction purposes, not to add hp. I dont think the ac takes any hp away as long as it is off.

If you're going to do it, just go with a single accessory pulley and run just the alternator.

and eat the PS too then.

Unless you have a reason geared specifically for needing an extra 5 hp while destroying your cars resale value and suffering in the summertime heat I would say look else where.

Though I've had 17 cars in 7 years and only 3 managed to retain it.
