are there ways to tell if its LSD just by looking or withuth getting into the tranny?

 

you look through the hole that the axles slide into. if you can see through, with no obstructions then you have lsd. if there is a bar blocking your view you have a non lsd tranny.

 

or you can just drive in a circle at full throtle if the inside tire is spinning... probably not LSD.

 

if you want to know if the stock tranny has LSD just look at the tranny code. for instance, the M2B4 tranny from japan comes equipped with LSD.

 

No, no, no. Jack up the front of the car and put it in neutral. Turn one wheel by hand. If the otherside turns the same way, you DO have a LSD. If it goes the opposite way you do not.

 

yea...i did that before. it didnt spin the same way =\ . but a couple of my friends said it deosnt mean anything. but i think it does. does anyone kno the LSD code on the tranny for a Integra Type-R? i think a shop jipped me.

Put it in gear, not neutral.

 

they told you they put a ITR tranny on your prelude si?

 

I dont know why your saying no no no no no, cd8 and calih22 are correct.

and it will look like this when you look through the differential

 

you can also stop on the side of the road with one tire on the pavement and one on the dirt. just floor it and if the side on the dirt spins, no lsd.

 

or you could do a quick little burn out... that's the most enjoyable way I think
