Does anyone have an idea why the Toda Package for the Type S won't work in an EP3? This package sounds great, but I don't wanna swap a type-s motor just to get it. Shouldn't it bolt in the same as if it were in the Type-S? Is it because of the ECU? If so, if I bought a Type-S ECU would that solve the problem? Thanks.

 

your are gonna have to swap the head.. ecu/key
not the entire engine...
it's because of the head... not the ecu alone

 

Its due to the iVtec, the type S has them on both, intake and exhaust.
The EP only has it on the intake side.

how about if you put type s intake cam and exhaust cam on the ep??? is that posible??

 

swaping the head is possible, and its been done. But if you want the type S cams... you will also need the type S (or type R, its the same thing) head. Even still, it isnt a type S without the 6 speed tranny
