slightly ot: toda spec a's on stock motor making 225whp/ 155lb-ft.....?
.....on an RSX-S:
Apparently, the bone stock rsx-s makes 171whp/ and 122lb-ft.
Next, with injen cai, toda header, and mugen twinloop, it makes 195whp/ 133lb-ft...
That's not bad for just bolt-ons, is it?
Then with toda's "engine kit" (spec a's, reflashed ecu, and valve springs) they get an additional 30whp and 22lb-ft.....
Damn. It's too bad I hate that bodystyle..... but for a crx project, that'd be the shiznit!
I read this in a Super Street magazine, btw (Sept 2003 issue, p.236-241).

Damn, that's impressive. I was just visiting a friend while he was dyno'ing some kids RSX TypeS with the Toda head package, intake, exhaust (stock header), it was making 198whp, 145tq, kinda weak compared to those numbers.

to the k series. I also recently learned that they weigh less than a b series. so swapping these things into lighter cars is going to get silly
what's wrong with the new body style?
you know the superegg owns you.
the hytech kit is even more impressive than the toda setup.
the k20 does a good job of keeping the n/a honda power alive for sure. and boost is just ridiculous.

You guys know that this was done on a gay ol dynapack(hub horsepower) and not a dynojet, right? The few guys that have this on clubrsx are putting down around 210whp on dynojets. Still pretty impressive.
I've seen 220 dynojet to the wheels, and almost 240 dynopack by edo on clubrsx, but he had crazy N/A work done to his car that can sh*t on any N/A worked K20
too bad he sold it...
and yes the racing headers do make a huge difference in the K20... the cat is very restrictive hence the LEV designation of the RSXes and EP3's
Comptech Race Header = 19whp
Jackson Race Header = 16whp
and yes... headers alone (no cat)
too bad he sold it...

Yes edo made 220whp and 247 on a dynapack with much more extensive mods.
Where did you get those numbers for the headers? What setup? Same car? Is it peak hp?

edo and someone else did dyno runs just for the headers alone before...and there have been others that dyno'ed both comptech and jackson racing headers to see the difference... it was just 3 whp... it's somewhere on clubrsx

Ok no one tested both headers on the same car, did they? And if there is only 3hp difference between the two, how come people that have the Comptech piece are faster?
Search clubrsx and you'll find a few threads where 2 people had the same mods, except for the header, and whichever one had the Comptech header won every time.
Just look at the design of the two. There is no comparison.

Come on steven, read his post again, he never claimed the cams were bolt ons, he said the toda "header" was part of the bolt ons. He then went on to explain about the engine kit that could be had after the bolt ons.. haha.
