well i bought a running '90 civic dx hatch 4spd this friday and i was driving it around... it smoked a lil cz it hadn't been drivin in a while... anyways as i was going to the movies friday the ****** just sputters a few times and breaks down... it has gas init... 1/4th a tank... and i had run the ****** on E for 30 mi be4 refilling @ a gas station... newayz im wondering wtf cuz the oil light popped on but the **** has 3 quarts in it and didn't knock @ all... REMEMBER THIS CAR HAS 134xxx on the motor and the chasis so its worth time to fix this one plus 400 is just a lil to pay for something without rust and a small wreck to the lower hatch area...

If your car's dead,and the key is still on, the oil light always comes on. Sounds like you may havelost a fuel pump. running them on `E' is not a good practice, because if it's an `in-tank' pump, the pump is cooled by the gasoline, and if there's little gas, there's little cooling too.
Could be something else though. Hard to say.
