Will a D16y inlet gasket fit on a D16a6? Hondata heat shield???

Default Will a D16y inlet gasket fit on a D16a6? Hondata heat shield???

As the topics state I am wondering if hondata heat shield for the soihc vtec engine will fill without mods on to a D16a6 actually ist a zc sohc but I believe there the same. Cheers Tried a quick search but got nothing concrete.

You mean the intake manifold gasket? I believe it will fit all D series. I just put one on a buddies d16y7. Since the vtec mani's bolt up to our engine, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yep the inlet manifold gasket, any one know for sure I don't want to order it then get a nasty surprise. Also since I have bypassed the Throttle body coolant should I get the race gasket which doesn't allow coolant into the mani??? Cheers

That's a good question. I'm sure you could easily make it fit if it didn't already. The new Skunk2 intake manifold fits all d series heads...

if will not fit on all D serie, jsut on SOHC D Serie Engine

Well can anyone tell me whether the Dohc zc mani is the same as the sohc. Dammit I thought this would of been a no brainer for someone.

OK BUMP how about this D16a6 do you have a hondata heat shield? Did it bolt straight on or what?

The Hondata telfon gasket will fit any SOHC D series. I have seen it on a d15b2 and I plan to get one for my d16y8. All SOHC intake manifolds can be used on any SOHC head (ie. d16a6, d16z6, d16y8), so it's a no-brainer that the gasket would as well...
