Default ef vs. eg: Which is better for autocross?

I've got a 91 std. hatch that's completely stock and just found a stock low-mileage 92 CX hatch in similar condition. I'm planning to build up a Civic hatch for autocross in street modified where engine swaps are allowed and nearly any other modification. Which car would be a better platform to build? Is there a difference in availability/cost of suspension parts?

Thanks,
Rich

p.s. BTW, the curb weight of a 91 std and a 92 CX are nearly identical.

What is the curb weight of hte std models?

I'd go with the CX. I'm partial to the EH2's though. I drive a gutted EP car.

Stick a B18 of some sort in there. Remove all legal stuff.

Talk to Rodney in the RR/ AX forum.

He's the main man on H-T in SM.
