as of now, i need an h22 tranny. i found one i think i am gong to buy, but it does not have an lsd. i also found a type s lsd for 400 bucks. do u think it is worth it to also buy the lsd unit. the h22 is going in a 92 cx if it matters

 

that's pretty cheap, i would get it for 400 bucks, as long as you coould depend on the installer.

LSD's are awesome.

Most OEM PRelude LSDs do not fit in non-LSD casings... and OEM LSD is not that special..

 

Get a Quaife if you have disposable income... If it's just for street use, it may not be justafiable. Comes in handy for auto-x or open track days.

If you're on a budget what about that Phantom Grip cheater system??A friend of mine uses it in his 93 JRSC Civic and seems to work out alright plus he said it's wasn't as bad to install compared to LSD unit.

like I said don't buy an OEM prelude LSD cause it won't fit. Go aftermarket or go home basically...I used to have a kaaz and I really liked it.

I've heard 1 report of this working, but it was from a guy up at Auto-X (who really knows his **** but I still question if this is true). He said somehad had used a OEM LSD in a SH tranny... no clue if the car was a base or what. Would this be possible? Is the SH housing bigger than the base (i'd assume because of the ATTS stuff), and is it large enough to hold the OEM LSD?

 

You can't use a JDM OEM LSD in your USDM trans, it won't fit cause it's way too huge.. I tried, nah uh. You can use an entire JDM trans with an LSD, no prob, I am and I've loved it ever since I first put it on my lude. Heh, use it all the time.

I have only heard bad things about the phantom grip but only good things about the quaife LSD, but its more expensive.
