ZC ECU
Alright, I read somewhere that the ZC Ecu tops off at 112mph, but I would like to either have a higher limit, or none at all. I have the SI Ecu still, would that make a difference in performance/speed and does it allow higher mph?
Also, does anyone know how to get the ZC Engine to pass Connecticuts Emissions?? I was told that using the SI Ecu will let me get by no problem, but I'm not sure myself.
Thanks

The ECU is critical to an engine's peformance. It control's igniton timing, fuel cut off and fuel maps among other things. I would recommend getting the proper ECU for the ZC engine. The Si engine has different characteristics than the ZC engine and the Si ECU running the ZC engine will negatively affect performance. Do you really want to go faster than 112 mph? I would rather have a fuel cut off at 112 mph, then a ECU that is not letting me get the proper performance out of my engine. If you really need to go faster than 112, which I don't see why, you can always get the ECU reprogrammed to get rid of the fuel cut off at 112.

or get an 89 integra ECU no MPH governor. I have both, ZC and Teg, and I like the ZC one better, plus the 89 integra has a more aggressive fuel curve. my 2cents.
Or just send out the Si ecu to Zdyne and get it reprogrammed, while telling them to not put the speed limiter there.
Solves all of your problems, and it's much less of a hassle than buying a used ecu and hoping that it works.

why do that when there is ghettodyne?
there was a post, I beleive that it was either exospeed or hyperduck tuning that posted up a dyno graph & it showed that the ZC ECU produced (on average) 2-10 hp & slightly more torque than the PM6.
