Default Trunk mounted batteries?Do they require a external cutoff switch to pass tech inspection at the trac

I have my battery mounted in the trunk of my 89 CRX Si.I did it with a complete sealed kit from one of those v8 companies.its got a nice box for it,nice gauge wire, fuse cutoff..etc..etc.But i heard rumor's that i wont be able to run at the track unless i had a cutoff switch put on the rear of the car?How true is that?
