Default Confused Aussie....upping CR on B16A2

Guys my appologies in advance.... I know this topic has been done to death within these forums but please bear with me.. and yes I have searched and searched to no avail........

I have been reading these forums for a few months now and just began posting last month..... it is pretty much my only source for moding hondas as there are practically nil honda tuners in australia, so all info given will be really appreciated.

anyhooo

I am wanting to know which pistons to get for a b16a2 to be able to get the CR to about 11.5

I am hell confused.... some people say that CTR slugs will get it to 10.8 and others say that it will get just a touch over 11.

Is there a company that makes pistons stright up that will bump the CR to 11.5 or is it the case where you buy CTR pistons and a thin H/gasket say from Spoon or Toda (any others out there??) and it makes it up to 11.5 or there abouts.

Please help!!

Hey, what am I, scotch mist????

Yeah CTR's are gonna take you to 10.8:1. Your gonna need to lose 20 thou off the deck/head/gasket to get you there with those pistons. I'd recommend some aftermarket ones (cp for eg)

Man there was this EXACT post like a week or two ago. I don't get it.

There are no off the shelf pistons for the B16A2. They are all between 81-81.50mm and compression ranges from about 8.0:1-10.6:1. Your best bet is to go PCT's and mill the head. You can get 11.5:1 through that.

Arias makes off the shelf 85mm 12.1:1 for the B16A.

Anything else you would need to go custom, which isn't as expensive as it sounds.

Will JUN 3s cause the valve to hit the pistons with PCTs and .030 milled?

Just like Cheetah said his B16 with PCT's, milled head and TODA B's reving the **** out of it no problem. I would say no, but claying the motor is so cheap and easy and not very time consuming when the motor's apart.
