I have had problems with my o2 sensors/catalytic converter for a few months now on my 98 ex, and i finally replaced my o2 sensors. Before, my car was running too rich, and I can defiently tell the car rides much smoother, and is much quicker, and idles normal at around 700rpms. I had the check engine light scanned and turned off, then, after driving the car around three times, the fourth time i started it, the check engine light stayed on. What could be the problem? The catalytic converter was defiently broken up(ruined on the inside) due to it burning too hot because of the richness, but the code for "catalytist efficency below threshold" did not come up when i had the light turned off. thats the only thing i could think of, any thoughts?
