cx to si climate control

cx to si climate control
I have a 97 ek, and I just got a 2000 si climate control. I already searched other threads and got nothing i needed. I tried changing the outlets but there welded on to the circuit boards for one and plus the system wont work anyway. I ordered the si harness and if anyone can tell me if it would work if i cut my cx wires and crosswired the si ones, if it would work? or any other ideas or help would be great thx.
