Striping and Painting a CRX
I have an 87 CRX that I want to get painted. I striped out the interior and I want to get it painted after I install a roll cage. I have seen many pictures of car frames with EVERYTHING removed then painted (Grassroots Motorsports August 2001, Page 38). Has anyone had this done and how much did it cost? I don't relish the idea of removing every part of the car just to get it painted and I would rather have a shop do it then me.
Do it yourself youll save way more money. the only thing you will have problems with is the sound deadening material unless you leave it in. what i wanna do is remove all my sound deadening material and replace it with dynamat since its way lighter and less bulky.
BTW: I figured I would give a quick tip on how to remove the sound deadner easily.
Dry Ice. freeze it, then whack it with a hammer. Look for Dry Ice in the yellow pages, or call your local baskin robbins, they will know where to get it.
