Any hints/suggestions for installing a Greddy turbo timer?

Default Any hints/suggestions for installing a Greddy turbo timer?

Just got a Greddy full auto timer for my 1999 Si and was looking for some know how to help w/ the install. What wires am I looking for to hook it up to? Is it really that hard to do your self?

If you search, you'll find a picture of the ignition/clyinder with all of the wires on it. It's pretty straight forward, soldering 4 wires. You'll need a decent soldering gun.. 25-30watt isn't going to cut it. I got a 100/140watt gun from Home Depot for ~30. It really isn't that hard.

The hardest part for me is getting the damn music to stop playing when I turn the car off. For some reason mine likes to play music no matter what I do.

http://importnut.net/turbotimer.htm that link shows a good desciption of the igintion wires...a high powered soldering gun is a must, and dont forget to disconnect the battery
