Have you recently changed any belts or anything?

Is the motor coming from rolling only or with the motor running (at a stop)?

Yes, I just bought a JDM engine and they changed the timming and BS belt. I just put it in last week and everything was doing fine until yesterday it started this aweful vibrating or grinding noise at high revs. I can crank it up in the driveway and rev it up to about 4k and it starts sounding aweful.

What kind of noise? I am thinking something with the balance shafts or something wasn't tensioned right.

maybe its your exhaust hitting the body of the car. Check your hangers and stuff like that.

well, its hard to explain the noise but it kind of sounds like a bad wheel berring (thats not what it is but thats what it sounds like) my timming belt is really tight will that cause that problem?
