anyone with koni yellows...
hey i want to lower the perch setting 1 knotch on the front, due to the slight uneven drop with my eibach sportlines. does anybody know exactly how i should move the c-clip down. i just dont want to mess it up trying to get it off. thanks alot...
yup i do the same, use needle nose pliers and spreaad teh c clip open and slide it down. I think your gonna have to compress the spring tho. And......make sure everything stays int the same place so u can put it back.
There is a tool made for opening the snap ring, but really there's no sense in buying it. I just used a set of needle nose pliers like the other guys and used them to spread the ring and move it.
I was dumb and used my bare hands. It works...but I kinda scratched up the paint (it would've scratched either way).
And yeah, blood gushed when I was done.

if you look at the two choice for the fronts, it's quite a dramatic drop, imo. as far as i remember it was more than an inch (???). also note that the wheel gap looks larger in the front but if you measure the distance between the ground and the side skirt next to both wheels, you'll see that it's pretty much even. (at least it is on mine with sportlines and koni yellow). also keep in mind that i think you can move these things around only so many times before they break and you're pretty screwed.
according to the Koni catalog i just peaked at...the adjustment is 25 mm in the front and 15 mm in the rear
25 mm = .98 inches
15 mm = .59 inches
25 mm = .98 inches
15 mm = .59 inches
in my opinion, the drop will be way too drastic....I did this whole perch experimentation, but I have prokits...with just the front on the lower and the back in the middle, it looks way uneven (like the car is falling forward)...moving them both to the lower perch pretty much "evens" it out to the eye...but doing it with sportlines will SLAM the car...your tires will definitely tuck under, and you will have all the problems associated with an extreme drop.
yea i think ive made the decision to just leave it the way it is (both middle perch). I dont want my car to be really slammed.. thats gonna be trouble in terms of bottoming out and camber. thanks for the input guys.....
Just a heads up if you are going to try and correct the "uneven" drop created by the sportlines. If you do not have the Neuspeed version then I do NOT recommend lowering the c-clip down a notch to try and remedy it. You are already 1.7 or more inches lower and adding an inch will mean you will almost be at a 3 inch drop which is very extreme. At that point, I would assume a degrading of suspension performance as well as some serious negative camber. If I were you and did not have the Neuspeed modified version, I would just leave it the way it is because the only person going to notice this "uneven" drop is you or unless someone sits there and stares at it.
Good decision

I just put on my koni yellows with sportlines today, and I raised the rear to the upper perch and left the front the same. Kinda sucks that you can only excessively lower the front or leave it the same. My brother's accord has 5 settings all the way around.
I really like the way it is right now, two finger gap all the way around and when I put my sub and amps back in it'll look more even than before...

i had the rear perches up a notch for a year or so. i was trying anything i could to imporve my ETs and i was hoping that this would in some way help with weight transfer. anyway, when i got new tires i had them move it back down (to the middle). the car looks and handles much better, imo.
