What you guys think about MAX? he offerd to help me... has anyone delt with him?? and good feedback or anything?

Max = very respectable guy and like what every one say he also very knowlegeable on hondas! i'll trust him with my car

 

make sure you have a SPARE car and some DEEP pockets.

prices are high, and always changing, and labor is like waiting for the grass to grow.

hows 8500$ for a 97 stock type-R motor with head work going into an EG sound. not even a 4.785 tranny. WTF? i couldnt even get lower then 14.00 on this motor. read codes. had to take it to someone else for help. and since when does a complete change over for this old year type-r motor not come with an ECU or a half-shaft. which he made me pay for on top of the crazy price of 5500 for this motor. i was new. a few friends recomended him strongly. and i got RAPED.

make sure you have someone else double check the peices you pay for. some other MAX HA tricks have been coming to the surface.
like giving you stock b16 valvetrain to run with your juns and pocketing your cash.
or not changing out the bearings on your block when he swore he did.
also. MAX HA DOES NOT BUILD BLOCKS.
if you want your **** the same and for cheaper. cut out middle man MAX and go straight to LUCKY MIKE.

both of max's 1.8 and his current 2.2 have both been on stock block motors.

take this for what its worth. this is personal experiance. not hearsay.

$8500 for a itr swap w/headwork into an EG? What a RIPPPPPPPPPPP-OFFFFFFFFFF! You actually paid that much for it? Sorry to hear that man.

Hey nice try.. You seem to have so much anger bottled up inside you.. its probably from a lack of love somewhere in your life.. AND NO you never bought a single part from me.. so stop making up stories.. nobody ever got charged 8700 or anywhere near that.. You think that your hurting my rep but in fact your really not.. your just making yourself look like a horses ***.. Its people like you that come around and try to get free advise, coming by and tryig to spy, then running to another shop trying to stir up controversy.. its no wonder you car is so slow.. if you spend more time trying to make it faster and not gossiping all the time maybe you might have something to show for it.. thanks

im one for hot chicks, good food and good music...but im not down with online trash talking. there are better ways to handle pent up agression than to talk trash via message board. it'd be much better to just head down to the shop and handle quarrels and chips on the shoulder. thus far in my car oriented life, no single person has helped me out as much as max. its never been a business ordeal ... just a friendship with the common bond of love for cars....and a few drunken escapades at one of my parties, one time or another. but yea, we should all just be friends and not post under alias's etc.... i mean, were all in this for the same reason.

 

Dear Poor Soakit,
From what I've seen from your last post on Max's great accomplishment with that 11.74 all motor eg, all you have shown us is your jealousy towards Max. Man grab your *****, be considerate, applaud Max or just walk the other way. You got so many ignorant things to say about Max, just go to his shop and confront him. I'm sure Max will handle it professionally, but doubt you'll even have the ***** to show. Just get a life, stop worrying about somebodyelse, worry about yourself, because it looks like your getting no where. It's the truth man, admit it. Move on biotch! Remember....... MAX BUILT!
