The question was whether the 205/50/15 size is too small for the EP3...loadwise. The stock tires are rated 87 and the 205/50 azenis is a 85 tire. What are the consequences of running a lower load capacity tire on a heavier car like the EP3?

well, an 87 rating = 1201 max lbs and an 85 rating = max 1135 lbs.
so unless u put more than 84% of the car's weight (assuming its about 2700) on 2 wheels, you'll be fine.

And if you think the EP3 is a heavier car... well you should open up your eyes to the rest of the automotive world.

Ive had my 205/50/15 azenis since Feburary and I've auto-x'ed about 15 times plus an evo weekend on them.
From my experience you will notice that the Azenis will wear more quickly than they would for, say, a 2300 lb civic, but as long as your pressures are not rediculously high or low you'll be safe... in fact, you'll be very happy with how well the Azenis perform.
If you regularly cart around heavy loads (people, junk) at unreasonable speeds or for long distances, consider a different tire, or keeping your stockies as a backup wheel like I do.
Rumor is that Azenis might be available in different sizes next year... maybe even a 205/55/15, but dont hold your breath.
