Difference between carsound and stock?
did a search, nothing really helped.
Anyways, I am fixing to order my SS JDM DC header and was wondering the HP diff. between getting a carsound 2.5" cat or just a 2.5" flange and welding it to the stock cat (I am running a 5zigen catback also). Would it be worth the extra $85? (Im not balling, its taken me 4 months to get this damn header, i hate bills)

part of whp gain will come from running carsound cat. i wouldn't run 2.5" header on stock cat.

The newer 2.5" Carsound's should flow over 400 cfm (talk to Dave at SMSP for actual figures).
A high-flow cat. is absolutely worth the expense. In fact, if given the choice between a new header paired with the stock cat. or a stock manifold paired with a 2.25" Carsound, I'd choose the Carsound. The stock cat. is really a severe bottleneck in the ITR (or any Integra) exhaust system.

It varies, but I think between the cost of the two flanges, the bung, and the welding, the pricing would be pretty close to one of SMSP's bolt-on Carsounds.

it would be about the same price.. smsp cat has extra welds to help with rattle problems..
