AC kills car?
Well, after driving 3 hours back at 1 am my AC stopped working the next day (just blowing cold air)
Now when I turn the AC on the car dies (rpms go down, makes a bad screeching sound)
Any ideas?

replace the belt on the compressor and that should get rid of the squeaking, for the power loss, i would think thats just because the ac compressor is on a belt line with other things that make the car run so by turning it on (if the compressor is blown and not wanting to move) it might b whats makin the car die
On my '95 GS-R the AC is on it's own belt without any other accessories. You could check the tension & the condition of the belt.
If the REAL problem is the compressor seizing, then a new belt won't fix it. I'm kinda thinking that's what it is, but can't tell for sure without looking at it firsthand.
