honda crx '87
Hi there, who of you can help me on documentation of the exaust system of a honda crx year '87 1.6 16v first generation.
Any proof that the crx has two exaust-tips is enough, this is because my garage is in discussion with me he said that the crx has one exaust- tip and installed a 1.3 civic exaust. I don't want to have it because I think there is to much back pressure thus less horsepower, but the dipshit only wants to take it back if I can proof that the crx has two exaust-tips.
Greetings Erik

I don't think it's a matter of one tip or 2, but more of getting the appropriate exhaust/muffler required for a 135 hp motor vs. a 65 (at best) hp motor. Unfortunately the original OEM pieces are becoming a little harder to find now a days (as well as after market), so I'd look for a muffler with something having at least a single 1 3/4 - 2 inch ( ~45-50 mm) exhaust pipe/tip (def. not a 1.3 L muffler).
By the way, you're not from North America, are you.
Just kidding, because I've got both an 85 CRX Si and an 87 CRX Si as well (12 valve motors, not the 1.6i-16), and both came with twin exhaust pipes from the muffler. Sorry, no pictures (for proof).
... and if I could ask a favour (please), I'm looking for the 3.8 final drive transmission that came in your car, so if there are any in a "recycling yard" that you know of, then please let me know and maybe we can work something out.
Good luck with the shop, just give him some more money if you have to, but get a better exhaust/muffler.

Yes yes I know that I could build a custom exhaust, and if the car was mine i did that. But i've sold the car to my brother in law and he knows nothing about cars thus went to the garage and the garage fucked him up with the 1.3 civic exhaust.
I know that still can build a custom exhaust but i want my money back and that's the main reason.
