would throwing a fully built LS Block in a type-r make more power than a stock type-r? i know most people are going to say keep the type-r, but i just want to know which one makes the most power.

 

Fully built LS block will make more power than a shorty ITR.
On the other hand I would never ger rid of C5 block over LS.

 

Yes it would but I wouldnt get rid of the c5 either and im not biased towards the c5 either seeing how I have a built ls/vtec. The only downfall to the ls/vtec is theres no way to get it smogged... Well legally at least

 

I'd buy an LS block, build it and drop it in. More power then an ITR block and hey atleast you always have a spare ITR short block to sell to someone for a hefty some that doesn't agree with me. Plus you'll always be able to beat them.

 

Depends on how fully built you are talking about..Also may make more power but like someone said before smog and getting sent to the ref are big headaches.Oh yeah and there is that thing called reliability. Either way do some research and good luck.

You can also spend the money from the built ls block on the type r block and make just as much power.

 

A built LS block will be just as reliable as a built ITR block. End of story. Smog isn't gonna be differnt with either buit block. As far as matchin vins and checking goes...well thank god we dont' have it here.
