Frame damage question
hey everyone, my car is in the process of being fixed after my cousin's mishap driving my car...I talked to my body shop manager and he told me there was no frame damage
however, one thing he said caught my attention...he said that while my car went over the curb, the metal floor directly under the driver's side seat was slightly popped up (no sure if he meant bent)...according to my insurance company, it will require approximately 8 hours to fix...my body shop guy assured me that there will be no performance or balance problems after they hammer and weld it back in place, but I am still worried
I'd like to have you guys' opinion on whether or not that problem could be fixed 100%...thx for you help...your comment is greatly appreciated

I'd think it'll be fine, assuming it's just the floor panel that was bent.. i'm not sure how that bends without thinning the metal or bending something else though..
haha you should see my floor...its totally FUXORED to the max. I hammered it down as best I could but its still all screwed up. oh well I put extra padding under the carpet to help smooth it out some. it shouldnt effect performance if the frame isnt tweaked.
i've done and dealt with quite a few damaged frames. floor pans are nothing and frame damage on the dc2 chassis are very easy to repair.
however, please keep in mind the quality of the fix/repair is solely dependent upon the body shop you choose. not all body shops are the same, no matter how much equipmen they have. chances are they will hammer and reweld the spot welds and possibly more for added strength.
