Backlit on Alpine headunit is out???? Anyone know how to fix or where??

everything works but the display, anyne else have this problem?? or know where i can get this fixed? or if it's fixable?

It's the 7871, i bought it off ebay so i don't think theres a warranty on it

thats y u should never buy from ebay, but try giving alpine a call. their products should come with a 1 year warranty anyway, even if u bought off ebay. unless the serials arent registered or banned.

does it turn on then blackout? or is it always off even when you press a button??

the lcd is $18 bucks. but it could be something else like a bad solder joint on the circuit board, it it isn't worth fixing. A new faceplate is $110.
