Default 1.8Liter ---> 2.0Liter

Alright, so my question is how much of a difference in power will I make going from a 1.8 to a 2.0? The setup isn't going to be insane, most likely 12:1 cr, maybe Toda A's or EF-1 M22 or M23 cams, good header (Toda or Spoon), Skunk2 Intake Manifold and a Fujitsubo RMA01 exhaust. How true is the saying "No replacement for displacement" in this kind of a situation?

If you have the cash and dont mind dropping it, go 2.0 it will make a great difference.

Thanks, this is what I was looking for . What are some people's impressions that have gone from a 1.8L to a 2.0L?

It makes more powa matty.

A 1.8L making 200whp, would generally be a 215-220whp setup @ 2Liters with good Torque. Depends on who builds\tunes it tho.

I went from 1.8-2.0L and the torque was so noticeable. Go for it. IMO its worth it

Yeah but if they're a crappy tuner and can only get 180 out of the 1.8 at least they'll get the 200 out of the 2.0

Toda Header 'is' pretty good for a 1.8L NA Motor...

Might not be enough for a healthy 2 Liter setup, tho...

yeah i know i can push it more with 93octan to aout 12:8 but my main goal is not max out my compression just yet. Also i plan on boosting 6-8psi on 85mm and adding some thicker hg to drop it down to 10.8 to 11.1cr. Not everyone has the same plans. Also running 12:1 on CTR cast pistons would be cheap and effective but somthing I would not want to do for a long term setup.

#1 Horsepower is a Function of Torque.

#2 One thing that increases Torque is displacement, doesn't matter how you come by it. Increasing Stroke will change your powerband, where increasing bore will just give you greater gains on the same powerband.

LOL guy I just don't like it when people try to pass on incorrect info. just trying to keep this site one of the best honda resoures sites around. Bottom line in the internet world where info is ever flowing ....what ever anyone tells you, you still have to do your own research and verify it.

hope you guys didn't think i was flaming him... LOL beaware of the real flamers.
