Rebuilt motor won't start !!! Have spark and fuel NEED HELP!!!!!
Like it says, fully rebuilt ZC. It has fuel and it has spark. It sounds very odd because it's not even trying to fire. All i hear is the whine of the starter and that's it. What the heck is going on. I just got a brand new main relay so that's not it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You need 3 things for a car to run ... fuel / spark / air
You say you have fuel ... but have you actually checked fuel pressure? You should do that to be sure that you have the proper amount.
As far as spark ... is it a good spark? You can have spark and it is weak and will not start. You should have a nice bright yellowish color in the spark when checking it.

Actually its 4 things it takes for an engine to run. Air/fuel, spark, compression, and timing. I had the exact same problem you had, and my timing was out 180*. Take of your distributor and turn the little gear 1/2 a turn and try it again.

How did you fit the dist in? It shouldn't even fit with the timing off 180*.

Argh, i'm a dumbass. I just forgot to adjust my cams when i put the head back together, none of the valves were seating, therefore no compression. I did a little ghetto job on it because i don't have a feeler gauge, but it started right up. Tomorrow i'll go get a feeler gauge and do it to spec. Thanks anyway for all of the info guys.
