I have a 97 DX, with an EX ceramic header, EX cat, and SI cat back exhaust. I recently removed the header wrap around the header and now Im getting 61CEL's for a slow response o2 sensor. Could the header wrap removal dropped the temp of the header that it screws up the O2 sensor? Prior to removing it, It had no CEL's at all. The header has some rust spots from the water collecting on the tube areas but I dont see any holes in the header itself.
Should I just rewrap the header or buy a new header? Any assistance would be appreciated
