Default How Low?

i was wandering how low can i drop my car without having to worry about my tires. Will 1.5 inches be ok and not give me camber wear on the tires? Or does any kind of drop messes up the tires. i have 195/50/15 on Si's if that helps. any info would help.

thanks

If you go up a size on tires and drop it, it will wear a little on the insides. If you were to go like 2in or even 2.5in would get definitely get some kind of camber kit.

1.5 will be fine...I would recomend sticking w/ the stock tire size 195-55-15 though

an eibach pro-kit or a h&r oe sport are about the lowest you can go and get away without a camber kit. I'm not sure about that H&R spring. I know they make an OE spring that drops the car about 3/4".

I agree with everyone else, 1.5-1.75" is about as low as I would go. I have about a 1.6" drop with C/O's on my 92 Civic. I am running 205/40 16's, I have a slow wear on the inside of the tire, nothing that I worry about though. I don't have any problem with rubbing the fenders, nothing. Like I said, that is about the lowest you can go without any major changes to the vehicle.

Hey buddy

I have neuspeed race springs and I have no inner tire at all. I need to purchase a camber kit, before I buy new rubber. The drop I have is 2.25f and 2.0r and I like it a lot. I chose these springs over the H&R race because I just got my new exhaust and I did not want it to scrape or bump it. Ah well, what to do... Oh, I drive an eg coupe.

p.s. 1.5 - 1.8 is a good drop without a camber kit. My rear tire has camber wear but it is not as bad as the front.

Take care
