Default checking cel with two different ecu

would any cel come up if i check the codes on my stock obd2 ecu with the resistor box? i have obd1 prelude 345's. i would like to know because when i try to check cel on my p28 with s200 hondata no codes would show up but when i check with the stock obd2 ecu codes like 74 and 72 comes up. help.

An OBD1 ECU will not pick up OBD2 specific codes.
