Hello all, got a question maybe you can help me with.
My engine does not seem happy lately. When driving the car with the engine cold, for the first 20 minutes or so, the engine really hesitates and makes and awful noise above say, 3500rpm or so. The noise is like a detonation type sound I guess, kind of hard to explain. Keep in mind, I am not going out with my engine cold and FLOORING it, I take it easy on it, but this is going over 3500 with any sort of moderate throttle. And even after a good hour of driving, it still seems to be hesitating some above 7500 or so. If feels as if maybe the engine is pulling back the timing? Im not sure.

My car is an 01 ITR, with about 8k. I have advanced the timing to about 18 deg, and have a Mugen header, although this has been occuring before I installed the header and changed the timing. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance!

My R does the same sometimes too. It started when I advanced the timing. So I had to replace the whole engine. hehehe JK.. Lets retard the timing some and see what happens...
