with all the thefts, just drop the stuff in a hatch. You'll have peace of mind. Just dont go around town letting people know what u actually have.

hehe... yeah.. as you guys can tell.. i've posted many times... and i still have yet to know what to do...

i understand that you guys won't make up my mind for me.... but i'm just trying to get as much info as i can before i do something...

i've realized that i don't too much attention (how many nights was i followed home?)

but i think i've finally came to a decision...

i'm going to buy the mr2, buy my car back... see how my mr2 experience goes...

by then... if i don't like it... i'll sell the mr2.. buy a hatch.. and do the conversion...(this will also give me a chance to do some internal work on the b18c5 while i have another car)

and if i do like the mr2.. then i'll sell the suspension, 5 lug, engine , and tranny....

I've never seen a fast MR-2...every one that i've raced is slow as hell. I rarely see them at the track...Stick with honda.

Define fast. Granted there are a sh!tload of ricey *** SLOW ones in our area, but there's fast ones around too. Back when I used to goto the street races (to laugh at the ricers, not to race) there was a VERY fast white 94-95 turbo. I've also seen them at AutoX events and Sebring, etc. I don't go to drag tracks if that's the track you meant tho.

Hybrid: it's his choice man. He has the $$ to but the MR2 and his ITR back so I don't think some repair bills will concern him. Fix the ignition in the MR2 and it'll be ok for awhile. It's atleast a 7 year old car now, you can't expect something that 'old' not to have problems.

I'm talking about drag racing, not autox. Fast = faster than my car, which I wouldn't consider that fast anyway. Right now my mph is in the 108 range which should be good for mid to high 12 second passes with traction. And i agree about the riced out slow *** cars here in florida, what's the deal with them?...they're everywhere!! It's getting worse and worse, this is horrible. I wonder if it's this bad in other states...

Ok, I couldn't tell you about any 12 second ones, since I don't do drag racing... as for riced out cars.. who knows.. I find them funny so I get entertainment everyday on my way to work.. my favorite one lately has been the N/A MR2's with the tom's intake... on both sides... can someone explain why that 2.2L needs that much air? lol.

i appreciate your guy's help... and yes i do expect to have some problems with the mr2... but the mr2 i'm looking at has a new engine, tranny, and turbo in it with only 58k miles...

as far as an mr2 being slow.... my friends mr2 which has a jdm motor in it spanked the **** out of my car, a gutted crx with b16 supercharged, stangs, etc... and all he has is intake, exhaust, IC and piping, a few electronic goodies, and a BOV...

the question i need to ask you guys is.... due to the fact that i know jack **** about swapping motors, suspension, brakes, etc... my car is gonna sit in my backyard for a long time..... will it be okay? what do i need to do to take care of it?

thanks... this is the beginning of my project car... (in an EK hatch of course)

After driving my 98' ITR w/ mods ...
and my friends red 93' mr2 turbo w/ 50k miles on it on the same track ...

I'd hardly call them 'slow as hell'... certainly can whoop some Honda ***.

I also see no less than 2-3 at my local auto-x all the time. Last time there were 5 ... 91-93's 2 nonturbo, 3 turbo. Most run proclass, and kick my ***.
