Few Questions about the CRX
Okay I am sure you guys have had plenty of these posts. I have searched and read several threads on here. Sorry for the N00b post.
A friend is looking into buying a Cheap CRX to use as a daily driver. I just wanted to know if there are any known issues that I should keep an eye out for. Other than maintenance things such as timing belt, etc...
Are there any good pages that can explain a little about the CRX's? Like what Gens there are, what engines each uses, etc...?
Thank you for any info you can give me, I appreciate it.

http://www.google.com
do a lot of searches on all the ideas that come to ur mind
as far as CRX's.... watch for rust on the wheel wells (back mostly)
engines can run 150,000 + with no mayor tune up...
after wards u want to change water pump, T belt, etc etc...
if its a beater only.... any model willl work
if he plans on having a good one... Si model or HF its his best choice.... the DX and HF have very low HP engines///
Si has sunroof... nice seats, 90-91 have rear discs...
search on the web.... uwill fid a lot of info!

depending on you local, look out for rust, anywhere, mainly the rear quarters above the bumper area.
hes probably looking to get a second gen crx(years 88-91)
there are 3 models.
HF:
lightest of all the models
sohc 1.5L. rated somewhere in the 60hp range I THINK.
more headroom(due to not having a moonroof)
DX:
the midle model, has more wieght than the HF and less power then the Si.
more headroom then the Si,(due to no moonroof)
Si:
moonroof,
rear wiper
semi different interior(CRX logo on the door panels)
sohc 1.6L i THINK it was rated at 108 hp,
little differences, such as rear disc brakes on the 90-91 models.
i would look for the complete listing page but im tooo tired, sorry.
if he is NOT looking for a car to just swap, i say go with the si, if he's a tall guy(im 6'2 and have an si and fit with lots of room to spare) and he's just going to swap it right away, then go hf, i think the si is a better all around car(prolly why its the Si model huh
). anyway there my 02.
if im wrong forgive me i havent slept in about 24 hours.

Cool.
Thanks for the info. I'll tell him to go for the Si. He is about 6'3"
I tried the whole search google thing but just got a bunch of pages that either wanted me to reg with them or where all about swaps/upgrades. Also figured you guys would know a lot more since you have 1st hadn experience.
So only the 90-91's had rear disks?? Or since then?
