is this LSD... or some other kind of tranny....???¿
i picked up this trany for uber cheap.... i got it at the jdm engine place so i know it works.... he told me it is a LSD transmission... oh... and its for a H22A... so anyhow... he said that you can tell apart a LSD, and a non-LSD trany from where the axles go... he said the non LSD's have a stick, or a thing that seperates the the axles.... this trany dont have that chet... you can see all the way across... theres a piece of axle that i've been to lazy to take out... i took some pics... what do you guys think.....
is it a LSD...¿ or some other kind of h22a trans... like a ATTS, or TCS one...

Question this is for a prelude 2 things.
1 It could be a LSD
2 It could be the LSD version tranny off the SH which has that ATTS or traction control and if it is u have to use the ATTS valve body or it will not work.

can u take a pic of were the right axle would go the back of the casing look for bolt holes there it looks in one of the pics that it is a ATTS tranny. If so its junk
here are the pics you wanted... but what are you talking about...? if it doesnt have the ATTS thing.. the tranny wont work for chet...???
do you need better pics...?
please let me know....

oh.... and one more thing.... the mechanic is stalling in installing the tranny... he's telling me to buy a new pilot bushing... he said because when he tries to fit the flywheel on the tranny... it has like some kind of play... he wiggles it, and it moves side to side... is it really important...? he said that it is wasted... and on the other 2 flywheels, dont work either... is it that important...¿ he said that its wasted, and it dont have enough meat to work right... is it REALY... that important...????!
The mechanic is talking about the pilot bearing, not the pilot bushing. The pilot bearing is located on the flywheel and is is very important to replace. Pilot bearings don't cost much either.
In my opinion, I would also replace the throwout bearing as well. These are just precautions that you can take in order to save yourself problems in the long run(having to pull the tranny out again). Good luck.

you guys nailed the m2b4 thing.... and about the pilot bearing... it dont use one... we went to part stores and they dont have one.... we even went to the dealer and they told us that lude/accord MT trannies dont use pilot bearing... its called a pilot bushing... they said that it would take them 4 days to get one, and it would be like 20 bucks for it.... its a little POS piece... nothing too it.... i gave it to my friend that works at mama & papa's transmissions.... he said its like one dolar new.... and check out these pics....
i think this is the bottom of it.....
you know that sensor thing... for the speedo.... i found it inside.... but that part that has the powersteering lines is gone.... and when they did the swap... they bypassed the lines that go into that mechanism... could that have caused this.... do you think they switched transmissions on me....?
so what are your thoughts...? do you think it broke becouse they didnt connect those lines..? do you think they gave me a accord tranny...? i did give them a prelude tranny... i remember when it was running... it would grind to put in 2nd, and 3rd gear.... but that was about at 8000 RPM..... what would cause this...?
