Default Opinions on the new C-Class Benz

I just read an article on the new C-class coupe coming out soon and it blew my mind!! I'm not a big mercedes fan but this car definately caught my eye. It is a supecharged 4 w/ 190 hp. And the best part about it is it's only 24,9K !! Anyways my fiance and i are thinking about getting one, but I want to see some performance specs before i do. If any of you find anything on it let me know.... Oh yeah it also has the big *** moonroof that goes over the whole damntop of the car .......

IMO I would get the new C-class sedan It's nice and comfy.

ITR + a nice luxury sedan = perfect.

My dad just orders for oct. delivery C320 sedan w/sport package. Well, i just don't
see paying $42K for some sedan OE with fake leather unless u move up to this package. Well, its a typical Asian retire car to me and btw, my dad is chinese over 65. Anyway, i may get to drive it when it arrives but i don't look forward to it.

I like the car myself if I was looking for nice sporty/lux hatch I get it..over the new bmw compact..which replaced the 318ti. But there is an AMG model coming out soon. I went to the dealership and for what I want fully loaded except for the phone which I don't need since I have one anyways. The cost is 27 grand out the door. Thats with AMG muffler or exhaust and wheels setup. But there will be a AMG chip or I can get Renntech Chip to boast power. THE AMG SLK run's 0-60 in 5 flat...with topspeed electroic limited to 155mph. The only bad things the euro mags had to say about it was the seats need to be bolstered more and steering needs more feel as it feels numb when steering. But overall it's great cars for those draw backs. Mercs are not too high here compared to the prices I've seen on the west coast. The 320 can be had around here for 42 grand fully loaded sports package, HID, cd changer, sun roof, auto sense wipers, head light washers, AMG wheels, and Muffler package...comes witheverthing I would want I guess except the phone sys. 430clk comes fully loaded with AMG wheels and muffler for 53 grand. The AMG CLK is 73 grand fully loaded. But alot times you can get the dest. charge knocked off if your good when dealing.

Well I'm glad others like this car, as I have some interest in it as well. I'm looking for a daily driver that is NOT a race car and something that I don't have to worry about. The key issue on my decision on what car I will buy is based on a car I WON'T MODIFY!! I have the bug badly and it will probably happen, but I've been real good with my R as far as mods. The car is great out of the box, that's why I've only done costetic mods. My choices so far are as follows: WRX, I would modify this. The IS300 5SPD, I would modify this. The S2000, not a practicle car to drive everyday for everyday use, plus I'd modify the Hell ot of it! S4, best choice for the money IMHO, but would even modify that. 95 NSX-T, my favorite out of the bunch, but of course, I'd modify it too. So my next reasonable choice was the BMW 330ci. I looked at this car and actually fell in love. With the optional wheels, HID and a moonroof, sold. Yes, it's very pricey but I feel that this is something ideal for me and I wouldn't have to touch it. Then I see the new C-Class.... It's a lot less with a smaller powerplant. Any opinions??

Thanks,

There was a review not too long ago... rating several of these... BMW, C-Class, IS300, etc... Overall, the BMW won... ONLY because it had a better it had a 5-sp... and it won the "fun to drive" part... the IS300 dominated in most other catagories... Take an IS300 5sp...

I don't care much for the C-class bodystyling.
Just my 2 cents...

well I was thinking the same thing. If I remeber correctly there was an issue about this when the BMW hatch came out. BMW owners didn't think it was good enough to be apart of the family...step child...

well i mean i know Benz are overpriced, but **** you get lots and lots of luxury and safety for that price. So i question the place of the new C-class. An S600 it will not be

Around here for 27 grand pretty much fully loaded. Unless you want the Merc Telephone and stuff. Or the trunk dividers and little add ons that probably be cheaper if you buy them from somewhere else and not from the dealer.
But I'm told it depends where live..on how much it is. Here it sells for MSRP or slightly under.

My mom just bought a 2001 SLK 230 I think she gave like 41K for the car after tax and tag and all that BS. its BFY (thats bright f*cking Yellow) with black interior. Its hella kewl. my dad also has a 1999 C230. Both cars are compressors 190 hp supercharged cars. now if only they would let me drive em!

I think the car is nice. My dad just bought one for 31k with leather, bose, and the sunroof. The six-speed is kinda loose and less responsive compared to the ITR. But basically the cars are comletely different. C-coupe = quite, smooth, heavy.
