Default Lucas Oil Products

I know i'm not the only person that's curious about this stuff. i know we have all tryed the lil demo that they have on the parts counters. but i know everyone wants to know, DOES IT WORK?

i personally work at an autoparts store that sell their products and have actually reccomended the lucas transmission fix to a few customers and had one that came back in and swears to god that it worked. the customer said that his auto tranny wouldn't shift into 4th gear and the car jus stays in third and revs high. on top of that he said when it did shift into the other gears he had a rough "thrown outta ur seat" shift. he said his problem went away and he only added half the bottle to his exsisting atf. is he bs'ing me? maybe but i don't see why he would, i mean this guy was thrilled about it!

i also recommend the lucas ps stop leak, no one came back to tell me if it worked, but then again, no one came back to tell me that it didn't either....

has anyone else tryed their products?

Yeah I tried it in my grinding J1. It seemed to help, but that tranny was already so messed up that there was no hope. I think its pretty good stuff.

Check out this test, the lucas additives just caused lots of foaming. You are much better off picking a very good ATF / MTL that has climbing additives.

My friend had both a 2nd and a 3rd gear grind in his SOHC VTEC tranny. He used the Lucas w/ Honda MTF and the car doesn't grind at all even in high RPM or power shifting. That's why I thought they worked but before that I figured that the Lucas **** was 100% garbage. I don't know what to think after looking at that link. He doesn't use it in the engine just in the tranny. I was actually planning on putting some in my 00 JDM ITR tranny.

I guess I'll stick to genuine Honda MTF.

I read and followed Bob is the oil guy site like a religon. Not all of Lucas products are bad. The injector cleaner is considered one of the better ones out there.Just have to research what you are going to do. Great site.

I'm about to change my gear oil, so we'll see what it looks like. I used a bottle of LUCAs and the rest was 80W gear oil, synthetic.

so, we'll see if my oil is "FOAMing"
