i need to know VERY SOON...

supra TT..... or swap everything from my wrecked ITR into an EK hatch??

all i can say right now is..... i think the ITR hatch would be a lot funner in the streets.... let's face it.... who's gonna rev a supra off? (i live in cali)

i found a supra TT for 17.9..... i esitmated the ITR EK to be around 14-15k... (and no i won't be able to use left over money because it'd be going to my dad)

but that supra will go.... vrooooooom pshhhhhhh!

on the other hand.... i have that VTEC harmony...

 

hmm..if its up to me i go for the supra TT reason for moRe hunniez ..u also can piMp in a HB but get more with the supra..hard decision..

hmmm... another thing i just thought about.... the EK hatch.... is there anyway i can get insurance to cover the motor too?? i don't want to get jacked with all that ITR stuff in there and only get paid 7 thousand for the car...

how fast would it be with spoon headers, AEM, and toda B's?

 

i agree... fawk the EK.. please do not post.. i love hondas.. blah blah blah.. but it wil never be fast as something like a supra at least not on the street.. go and get your v6 boost monster.. upgrade to those twin HKS turbo's (w/IC all piping) i think that kit is like 5-6K and your fuel.. get some Advan model 7's.. suspension.. get a nice sleek looking kit.. nothing fancy and sticks out.. and for some reason i love that wing on the supra (not the stock one) the one thats flat and sorta extends in the back.. really flat looking.. i think it looks dope.. full apexi exhaust.. get two bride seats and off you go.. of course the stuff i mentioned above is bank but you dont need it all at once.. start slowly..

after my friend gave me a ride last night in his 550+hp s14 not even sr20.. on built KE.. my next car WILL NOT be a honda guranteed! that car simply bones the fawk out.. and thats a 4banger.. imagine what you can do to a supra..

just my opinion.. i really want something fast next time around.. for now i will enjoy what i have until its time to sell..

 

oh yeah... i just remembered... i was the one that thinks my particular R is slow... i wanna make sure my collision didn't make that any worse..

 

btw.. there is **** load of EK's with ITR motors.. everyone has an swap in a civc these days.. dont get my wrong.. if you really like it go for it.. i owned too many hondas i want something differnt next time.. basically i really want a turbo car which i never had..

 

just let the insurer know what you have in the car when you get it insured.

 

uhh........ you are not alone when you said "i was the one that thinks my particular R is slow" i agree on that one.. but i blame it on myself for selling my EG ITR hatch.. well i blame it on my parents too.. they made me sell it just because i live for free at home.. even though i paid for that hatch with my own money from start to finish.. i still cant get used to the R.. it just doesnt even come close to my EG...
On the bright side.. its much more comfortable handles about 100 time better then my civic.. (i never did any suspension mods on the EG) and the ITR should break down considering that its a brand new car for next 2-3 yrs even under hard driving.

Are you nuts?!!!! BUY THE SUPRA!!!! But for that price of 17,900, Im guessing it has a grip of miles so maybe the hatch is a better idea.

 

oh yeah... that's another thing... how would my ride handle with the hatch??? i'd be swapping in ITR brakes, 5 lug conversion, and rear suspension (my front isn't salvageable i don't think)

 

Well what do you want to do?If you want a car that handles well and is easy to drive the ek is the way to go.My old roommate has a supra that makes 480whp on pump gas and runs 11's.with a stereo and all that crap in it.It it impossible to have fun in the corners with but it is a blast to just go straight in.The damn thing has sooo much torque.the supra is great to look good in and drag race.If you are into road racing the ek is the way to go.

 

hmm... welll i'm more of the street driver... and late night illegals....

i loved the head turns and oooh's and ahhs with my R (JDM front end is what did it).... i can do that with the EK if i pop the hood and stop to show the 5 lug.... but at the same time... you don't want to do that too much here in so cali... it'll get jacked...

the supra can't turn or what?? i just watch the JUNSUPRA drifting into a turn.... whells spinning, filling up a cloud of smoke... and then taking off into the straight... and i just say..... dayam

Just remember mods for Supras are VERY expensive.

 

how about mr2's?..... there's a fairly nice mr2 for sale for cheap... and it has a new motor, turbo, tranny, and it already has all the nice goodies like BOV, IC... blah blah... then i could spend what money i have (remember.... all the money i get is the cost of the car.... the rest goes to my dad) and i have about 1500 to spend.... i could get a bigger turbo or something...

If you've got the money...go with the supra. Insurance will go up with supra...along with the cost of anything that breaks. Also, Hondas are very very simple to work on compared to a supra. So you might find yourself having to bring your car to a shop and pay crazy prices for things that used to take you 15 mins to do on the honda...something as simple as valve cover gaskets is a bitch to do because there is so much crap in the way..and you have to lean all the way into the back of the engine bay to reach things! The ek hatchback is like a luxury car to me! so much nicer than the eg in my opinion. Of course the civic will never have the speed potential of a supra, but B-series hybrids are so damn fun to drive and they can be made to hande very well and be pretty damn quick on a limited budget. Basically it all comes down to what kind of money you want to spend on your car and how fast you want to go..
