Default b-series swap + hydro tranny in an EF = what axles to use?

I'm trying to use '93 gsr axles with an itr tranny and intermediate shaft. It don't work. Looks like I'll need a '93 gsr intermediate shaft too?

Or should I try to use stock itr axles & intermediate shaft?

you have the use the 90-93 intermediate shaft with the 90-93 axles... 94+ have a different end on the part that goes into the half shaft.

you could if you want, swap your drivers side axle for a 94+ Integra axle.

just remember that if you do switch to a 90-93 Integra intermediate shaft, you will HAVE to replace the drivers side trans seal with the same generation (ie. 90-93 or 94+) part.

so if you switch to a 90-93 i-shaft you will need to pick up a 90-93 driver's side tranny seal for the trans.

the 90-93 and 94+ intermediate shafts require different seals because they have different outer diameters at the seal.
use the wrong seal with the wrong intermediate shaft and you will have a wicked leak. it wont leak so much when you fill up the tranny, but once you take the car down the road a bit your tranny will proceed to completely empty itself of fluid.

.....thanks guys!

I got it all worked out. ITR intermediate shaft and axles with the itr hydro tranny.

Here's the weird thing though: the itr axles have different part numbers than the 94-01 integra axles..... They appear to be the same physically, so what gives? Are they stronger or something? Or does acura just charge more for the same axles with different part numbers?
