oem clutch replacement - balancing necessary?
i will likely soon replace my oem clutch with a new oem clutch while retaining the stock flywheel. do either the new clutch or flywheel need to be balanced prior to reassembly? does the flywheel need to be cleaned and/or turned?
WOAH!,, your going to keep the stock FW?, why?- see if your budget will allow a lighter FW, its rather nice to have and the car response to it very well.
Sorry, are you going to reuse the FW that you had?
IF SO then yes see if you can get it resurfaced.
But if your getting a new one then just slap it on.
Sorry.

ok, then i think it is best to get your flywheel resurfaced. I am not sure who can do it.

sounds good to me, when you resurface the FW its going to be lighter than it orignally was.

A specialized transmission shop or a machine shop can do it.
