LS OWNERS: N2O set ups and safeguards???
LS owners.,.....well all you other guys please feel free to reply as well. Looking for mounting locations, gauge install ideas, and expecially precautionalry steps you have personally taken to protect our non-vtec engines. Thanks guys.
--side note----
if anyone has used cylinders other then what has been provided...ie smaller or multiple cylinders suggestions or images would be greatly appriciated. I am really not wanting to give up cargo room or my sub, but then again..if im putting the tank in i better be headed for the track
. But if anyone has mounted smaller tanks in alternate locations or in hidden locations that would be cool to know.
Thanks

I have an LS and i am running the zex kit on a 75 shot. you can run the zex on a stock fuel system and engine. all you need is one or two step colder spark plugs(or just get the zex nitrous plugs like i did), and to retard the timing according to the tune sheet. I have my nitrous and fuel pressure gauges mounted on a dual pod pillar. bottle is in the hatch. control box mounted on the firewall. The zex kit is a great kit for up to a 75 shot. it is very easy to install, and use. however if you want to go with higher than a 75 shot eventually, then get a direct port kit. NOS and Nitrous Express make great direct port kits. on a stock engine, i would not go higher than a 75 shot. i warn you, you will need to get some sticky tires for using the nitrous at the track, cuz trying to get traction is a bitch! i was using nitto drag radials at 10 psi and i still spun the bitches all the way through first, and into 2nd. with a little more tuning and practice driving, i should be in the 13's. good luck.
