i was wondering if the shocks on a 88 hatch would fit on a 89 hatch? i alredy noticed that the back shocks wouldnt fit cuz its differnt but how about the front?? and how about like motor wise...everything should fit if i were to take one thing off one year and put it on the other year right?

 

Fronts should be all the same from 88-91 civics. The 88's have the ITR suspension in the rear so you'll need those for the rear.

 

just the rears are different. Trannys have a diff amount of splines (88=21 89-91=20 )...pretty much everything else is the same.

the brake line brackets are different too..

but you can take the brake line brackets off the lines to mount it on the different year shocks..
