Leave the interior stock and slap a bigger and better motor in that bad boy!

All very good intentions, but a turbo B18C doesn't come cheap. It'll definnently be a project. As a bit of a tip (at least something I keep in mind when working on my CRX): Work on the mechanics of your car more than anything first. Why? Your interior is going to show some wear and tear as you work on your car more and more. If you do the engine swap first, then you can get good usage out of your seats, shifter (shift boot..since you showed interest in the Type R boot), etc..then replace those last. If you were to take care of the interior first, by the time you can afford a Turbo B18C, you'll be due for some new sparco seats, and whatnot. Besides..you don't want to be labeled as a ricer, so the sooner you have speed, the better!!!!

I can't wait to see someone put a smaller engine in a CRX. Everyone goes bigger. Frickin A man, put the Geo 3 cylinder in it and boost the crap out of it. haha. Thats actually an idea.

I agree that you should go for some sort of power plant early in the project, but you may want to get the chasis a bit more prepered for it... For example, Stronger springs and suspension components, and a Beeffier braking system...

If someone put a JDM D15b into an Si then you dream would come true... And I am sure it has been done.

If you're seriously going turbo, just pick up a LS motor for a couple hundred bucks rather than a $1500 B18C. Just my opinion...

he was using an afc hack/wideband 02/ and injectors along with a 14b turbo........... i was totally impressed and i plan on finding a junk yard ls and building it for boost.........

This is an f'in joke right ?

My friend Joe Montoyas Integra was running 11 flat with full interior minus ac and a stock GSR with modified drag gen 2 on slicks back in 97 and other than the slicks he drove it that way to work

Well, going with the 1.0 Geo is a bit overkill, but make your car different. I've seen a fully built and turboed 3 cyl hit 257 whp. 12 something seconds. It was nice.

azroth, yeah I've seen a couple D15B's in an Si. The concept of going to the smaller engine is correct, but still the D15B is pretty popular. I almost bought one a while back. I'm kicking myself now for not... I just hate how everyone goes with the same engine and the same body styling. I want to put a Veilside kit on my Civic just to make some of you (*ahem*) mainstream people wonder about my sanity.

I am staying SOHC non-vtec with my Civic, but for 'in the long run' monitary problems, I am upgrading to an A6. I know, I know, I'm a sellout.

16 generally= no money= no swap.
First if it has the stock shocks replace them and get some decent springs.
Maybe get some nice wheels next if that is what you are into.
Everyone loves performance but when I was 16 I couldn't save money for sh*t..wait..I still can't.

sparcoman...no one is trying to say your broke they are just talking from personal experience. So you dont need to be a dick. If you have money then great most of us dont! If you have money just use it for the right stuff ie. motor and suspension. Don't get angry we are just here to help!!

I didn't mean to sound like you didn't have any money but if you go to school, work part time...well you get the idea. Maybe you aren't someone that has to pay your own insurance or buy your own car but you're talking about dropping 10k or more on motor, turbo, body kit, wheels, suspention, exhaust. That if you can install it all yourself. You came on here asking where to get a type R shift boot. I have plenty of money invested in my crx so I am talking from experience. I started like most people with a zc then an ls upgrade to b16 with NOS then turbo and now h22 turbo. 4 years in the works on this thing and still I am not done with it. BTW my seats are stock and so is my shift boot.

motor, B16 at the minimum, don't deal with D series motors or ZC, go maybe B17,B18B LS-VTEC (not a big fan), u should go JDM GSR with S1 Cable B16 tranny, with I/H/E, some Falken Aziens tires, lowered on tokico blues with eibach sportlines, some si wheels or hx, rsr catback, vafc, CTR cams, u'll love it but hate the cost, just a thought on something that might be done years form now if u just keep pluggin away.
