I'm looking at buying a '01 GSR OEM catback for my '96 GSR. I have been told that the exhaust fits (hangers) other than being a bit short to reach the cat. So, I will cut it and put a sleave on it to lengthen it between the resonator and the cat.

Just looking for opinions on this.

Yeah.....why? You should spend that money to get an aftermarket exhaust...I think that would be the best bet.

 

To answer the questions.....

The car has 160K miles and is my daily driver. I'm not looking to spend alot of money on the car and the Greddy PE exhaust that is on there is shot. I found a H-T member that is selling a '01 OEM exahaust for a good price so I figure this is the way to go.

As you can see with my signiture, I have other toys that go fast.....
