how can u tell if its a 99-00 si tranny?

sup guy's im going to look at a tranny tomorrow and the guy say's its an 99-00 si tranny but has no vin, is there any other way finding out if its an si tranny.

the tranny should have the vin on it and if it doesent then i wouldnt buy it anyway it probally is stolen ....
